Apple to launch iOS 13 in June

This will be Apple’s 30th WWDC event

If there's one Apple event everyone has their eyes fixated on, it's WWDC. As usual, the Cupertino giant is expected to bring the new versions of iOS, macOS, watchOS, and tvOS at WWDC 2019.

Apple has announced that it will be holding the Worldwide Developers Conference in San Jose, California from June 3 to June 7. "Blow minds" along with an image of a robot, signifying the importance of artificial intelligence. Other rumors we've seen relay that iOS 13 on the iPad will introduce a revamped files app and a revamped Photos app. The new iOS version is expected to bring a system-wide dark mode - somewhat similar to how macOS 10.14 Mojave brought a dark mode past year.

Apple has now triggered the start of that event by releasing the official WWDC 2019 artwork confirming the event dates.

WWDC 2019 will once again be in San Jose's McEnery Convention Center, where it's been held for the last two years. "It brings thousands of the most creative and dedicated developers from around the world together with over a thousand Apple engineers to learn about our latest platform innovations and to connect as a community".

For those who can't attend this year's WWDC event, Apple said that it would live stream the entire conference on the Apple Developer website, as well as through the WWDC app for iPhone, iPad, and Apple TV devices. "This year's program will feature technical sessions, hands-on labs and guest speakers to provide Apple's existing developer community and the next generation of app developers with the knowledge and tools to help turn their next great idea into reality". Apple is also giving away up to 350 WWDC scholarships this year, providing students and members of all STEM organisations to get a free ticket and lodging for WWDC. Admitted developers will be notified of their application status on March 21st at 5 p.m. PDT.
