Superwoman Lilly Singh gets her own late night show!

NBC Taps YouTube Star Lilly Singh to Fill Carson Daly's Late-Night Slot

She will be the only female late-night host on the big four USA networks.

NBC has hired YouTube star Lilly Singh to take over the late-night spot now occupied by Carson Daly.

Lilly Singh is changing that ratio with her upcoming NBC show, 'A Little Late with Lilly Singh'.

YouTube star Lilly Singh only left the platform in November, but she's already got a new stage.

With the hire, Lilly will become the only woman to host a late night talk show on the Big 4 networks: ABC, NBC, CBS and Fox. As an actress, she appeared in HBO's Fahrenheit 451, opposite Michael Shannon and Michael B. Jordan, and has co-starred in Bad Moms and Ice Age: Collision Course. In recent years, "Last Call with Carson Daly", the show Singh is replacing, morphed into a mixture of taped interviews and musical performances bookended by brief apperances by Daly to accomodate his busy schedule. AHHHHHHH! And not only did I get to announce this dream come true on @fallontonight but @sethmeyers came out and surprised me as well!

The comedian, who hails from Scarborough, Ont., is taking over from Carson Daly on NBC. "I'm thrilled to bring it to life on NBC, and I hope m parents consider this to be as exciting as a grandchild".

"Lilly is truly a star and we're thrilled to welcome her to our NBC family", said NBC executive Doug Vaughan. In 2017, Forbes listed her as one of the top 10 highest earning Youtubers, earning a reported $10.5 million.

A Little Late with Lilly Singh premieres in September.

In the February 24 tweet Singh referred to herself as "female, coloured, bisexual", adding: "Throughout my life these have proven to be obstacles from time to time". When Jimmy asked what the show was going to be like, Lilly said, "Kind of like my YouTube channel but now I will have more than three staff members". "But now I'm fully embracing them as my superpowers", she wrote.
