UEFA launches disciplinary probe against PSG striker Neymar

UEFA orders investigation into PSG star Neymar for rant after Man United defeat

The referee awarded a penalty to the Red Devils for handball by Presnel Kimpembe in the final moments of the game, and Marcus Rashford converted the spot-kick to eliminate the Ligue 1 champions from the competition.

UEFA has opened an investigation into comments made by Neymar on social media following Paris Saint-Germain's Champions League exit at the hands of Manchester United. "Go f- yourselves!" Neymar wrote on Instagram.

The 27-year-old was so reportedly enraged he had to be restrained by PSG staff to stop him entering their dressing room.

He described referee Damir Skomina's late penalty decision, made after using the video assistant referee system, as a "disgrace" on social media.

It is unknown what punishment would be considered for Neymar should he be found to have broken UEFA rules, but any enforced absence may not overly trouble the Parisian outfit, who now lead Ligue 1 by 17 points with 11 games to play in the 2018/19 domestic season. "They put 4 people that know nothing about football in charge of looking at the replay for VAR".

Buffon accused the English referee of having a "dustbin in place of a heart" for awarding Real a last-gasp penalty that knocked Juve out after the Italians had clawed back a 3-0 first-leg deficit to level the tie.
