Ontario pizza chain Pi Co will also be celebrating Pi Day with a $3.14 pizza special.

Pi (Greek letter "π") has been calculated to over one trillion digits beyond its decimal point and will continue infinitely without repetition or pattern.

Pi Day happens to be Albert Einstein's birthday.

Pi is the ratio of the circumference of a circle to its diameter. Pies around the world have rich histories, including key lime pie, which was invented only because a baby died on a transatlantic voyage. A pie baking contest is a less messy, and just as sweet, alternative. It is a day where math lovers and those who enjoy numbers celebrate the most famous irrational number, marking 3.14 with pies and pizza.

BJ's Restaurant and Brewhouse: Celebrate with mini one-topping pizzas for $3.14, valid only for dine-in on Thursday. This offer is only available on March 14.

Hungry Howie's - This chain is offering a one-toping medium pie for $3.14 but customers first have to buy a bread at regular price to be eligible for the offer and it's only available on orders for carryout. Print out the coupon online to take advantage of the deal.

Lotsa will also be running the same deal at their location in Baltimore (Towson 319 York Road.) They will be selling any of their pies for $3.14 from 11am.

Plated will offer free dessert for a year for first-time subscribers to its app.
