Samsung Galaxy Note 10 Rumoured To Have Two Variants At Launch

Samsung Galaxy S10 has some serious security concerns

The individual (nicknamed darkshark) apparently took a photo of his fingerprint on a wineglass and ran it through Photoshop for a viable 3D model base.

The Samsung Galaxy S10 boasts an ultrasonic fingerprint scanner and is one of the best fingerprint sensors mone can buy.

Users on various Samsung-related subreddits were the first to report the new rollout, with some posting screenshots of the 1.5GB update notifications.

To recall, this is not the first time a smartphone has been duped; the iPhone X, when launched, could be unlocked by showing a 3D print mask.

Many new devices boast of heightened security with the addition of Touch ID, and the Samsung Galaxy S10, which debuted last month, is a prime example.

He said that now that he's figured out the printing process, he could steal someone's fingerprint and get it printed and ready to use within three minutes.

Once it was to his liking the image was passed to 3ds Max, which then allowed him to turn it into a 3D image.

'Most banking apps only require fingerprint authentication so I could have all of your info and spend your money in less than 15 minutes if your phone is secured by fingerprint alone, ' the user added.

While it's certainly exciting that those of you holding on to unlocked versions of Samsung's 2017 flagships are going to get a sweet taste of Pie, it might be wise to hold off on upgrading, at least for a little while.

You'll get $100 off on the 128GB and 256GB Galaxy S10e, save $100 on the 128GB Galaxy S10 or Galaxy S10+, or $150 on 512GB and 1TB storage versions (where available). That is, until now: it appears Android 9 Pie is rolling out now to unlocked devices in the U.S. In terms of security, the Samsung Galaxy S10 on-screen fingerprint is also vulnerable.

One might think this feature is safe.
