Avengers: Endgame Directors Defend Captain Marvel’s Appearance In The Film

Avengers Endgame interviews

The company's president has revealed the Marvel Cinematic Universe will continue beyond the release of "Spider-Man: Far From Home" in July, but he explained that officially revealing any of the projects - including movies like "Black Widow", "Black Panther 2" and "Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3" - would give too much away for "Avengers: Endgame".

The Iron Man star says, "I can look at each of my co-stars and recall many times that we've sought each other out when there was no call sheet ..."

Avengers: Endgame is slated to hit theatres on 26 April.

"The last Avengers movie was surprisingly dramatic, and while kids love superheroes we're not so sure how they feel about intergalactic genocide", Kimmel joked in the video posted on Monday. "I think there's a strong argument to be made that the longer the wait, the more anticipation there will be for it".

When it was suggested it could be years away, he admitted: "Probably". And we will talk about them soon after Spider-Man: Far From Home comes out ...

"They could wait five, maybe even 10 years", he said.

Directed by Anthony and Joe Russo, Avengers: Endgame stars Robert Downey Jr., Chris Evans, Mark Ruffalo, Chris Hemsworth, Scarlett Johansson, Jeremy Renner, Don Cheadle, Paul Rudd, Brie Larson, Karen Gillan, Danai Gurira, Benedict Wong, Jon Favreau, Bradley Cooper, Gwyneth Paltrow, and Josh Brolin. "It'll be a while", Feige said when asked about bringing the X-Men into the MCU.

It isn't just standard Marvel films for which this plan accounts - it also includes movies that will feature heroes and villains Marvel's parent company Disney recently acquired from Fox in the multi-billion-dollar merger deal that went through in March.

She did [Avengers: Endgame] before she filmed Captain Marvel, and I think she was experimenting with what the character was. "So essentially, it's sort of Day One".
