This morning, Disney dropped the official trailer for Jon Favreau's photorealistic remake of 1994's The Lion King, and this one gives us the best footage yet. The live action drama film will be releasing exact in exact 100 days from now and this time has been directed by the very talented Jon Favreau, who has earlier recreates the magic of Jungle King. Watch the trailer below.

The trailer itself is fine.

The trailer opens with Simba's uncle, "Scar" and transitions to James Earl Jones as "Mufasa" telling "Simba" about what it's like to be king. Maybe I'm the audience for this after all.

Here's a synopsis of the upcoming film: Simba idolizes his father, King Mufasa, and takes to heart his own royal destiny.

"Everything you see exists together in a delicate balance", Mufasa - a role James Earl Jones reprises, 25 years later - tells the young Simba as the two gaze out over their animal kingdom from Pride Rock. The cast also includes Alfre Woodard is Simba's mother Sarabi, Seth Rogen as Pumbaa, Billy Eichner as Timon, Eric Andre as Azizi, John Oliver as Zazu and Keegan-Michael Key as a hyena.

Disney Lion King first released as the animated film in 1994 and since then it has received the status of a cult which has a huge fan following and we need not mention about the huge boost the film bas given to the gaming and merchandise sector. With help from a curious pair of newfound friends, Simba will have to figure out how to grow up and take back what is rightfully his.
