Kudlow Calls Criticisms of Stephen Moore, Herman Cain ‘Unfair’

White House economic adviser Larry Kudlow and acting White House Chief of Staff Mick Mulvaney used appearances on Sunday morning talk shows to defend Mr. Trump's plan to nominate economic commentator Stephen Moore and businessman and former presidential candidate Herman Cain to fill open board seats at the Fed.

Former republican presidential candidate and Georgia business man Herman Cain speaks during the Southern Republican Leadership Conference at the College of Charleston in Charleston, South Carolina January 19, 2012.

In video posted on Facebook, Cain said that a background check would be "more cumbersome" in his case because he has had an "unusual career". Moore and Cain, if confirmed, would represent Trump's view that economic growth is not, by nature, inflationary, he said.

At the time, Cain said the allegations were incorrect but acknowledged "he had made mistakes in my life", according to Bloomberg. Would I be disappointed if I don't make it through this process? No. "That's the bottom line". "I'm not going to litigate that here", Kudlow initially began when asked whether past sexual allegations against Cain troubled the advisor to President Donald Trump.

"I find Herman to be an outstanding person, a truly outstanding individual", Trump continued. "I've told my folks that's the man". The White House, however, has not sent the nomination to the Senate.

"They have to collect an inordinate amount of information on you and your background, your family, your friends, your pets - for the last 50 years", Cain said.

Cain said people who dislike him are "already digging up all of the negative stuff that's in storage from eight years ago". I will be able to explain it this time, where they wouldn't let me explain it last time because they were too busy believing the accusers.

But his popularity slipped amid sexual harassment allegations from several women, which he denied as "completely false".

"Speaking with reporters about the White House lawn, Trump said that he believes that the central bank" actually slowed us down" using all the four rate hikes previous year.

Kudlow stated that the president calls for the Fed and his were moves to make sure that various potential dangers did not end up harming the market after the Fed raised rates four days.
