Snapchat releases the 'revamped' app for its Android users

Snapchat - the social multimedia messaging app was launched back in 2011.

Researchers have revealed that a spyware app previously found to target Android devices has also been pursuing iPhone users.

Snap knows how bad the experience is, to the point where Evan Spiegel, Snap's CEO said that they have a subpar Android app adn they want to change it.

Snapchat owned by Snap Inc has been trying to fix that buggy and slow performance for its Android app ever since with continuous timely updates.

If you are part of the Snap community, you would know that it is nearly a fact that Snapchat was meant for iOS users, and the Android app always felt neglected. This arguably helps make iPhones and iPads even more business-centric gadgets, but the programme can be abused with enterprise apps pushed out to consumers, rather than kept for a company's sole internal use.

But Exodus is very much present on both platforms posing as a genuine app and can defeat user's vigil against insidious spyware.

The new app has been under development for over a year, because attempts to modify the old app code to improve performance were unsuccessful.

The rewrite for the updated app of Snapchat has been done and in the near future, we can expect the same to work without any glitches. The Snapchat has become more than just a photo or message sharing app over the past few years. The difference in the two versions is that the spy app in iOS format gains user's permission unintentionally by posing as a legit app before starting its surveillance antics.

According to the good people at XDA, the layout and UI of the redesigned version Snapchat looks identical and seems to remain unchanged.
