Ariana Grande shares brain scan and opens up about PTSD

Ariana Grande

Charles B. Nemeroff, M.D., Ph.D., Professor of Psychiatry at The University of Texas at Austin said several studies have shown changes in the brains of patients with PTSD. Last year, the singer opened up about living with PTSD following the bombing.

Although Ariana was able to get out safely, the attack obviously had a huge affect on her.

With the PTSD brain having several highlighted areas, fans were shocked to see that Ariana's scan had nearly double the amount.

Ariana recently opened up about her mental health when she was interviewed for British Vogue in August 2018.

But for many of her fans and followers, it's eye-opening to see the effects PTSD has on the brain.

Ariana Grande did not mean to startle her fans when she posted a picture of her brain scan the other day.

Ariana Grande has taken to her Instagram Story to show fans her "terrifying" brain scans that highlight the effects of PTSD.

She commented on the comparison of the photos by writing, "hilarious and terrifying" and "not a joke".

She added, "Time is the biggest thing". Ariana tried to help Mac with his addiction struggles while they were together for more than a year, so it hit her hard to know that he had passed while still battling those demons. But, yeah, it's a real thing.

She said: "I hate. yeah. admitting it but it very much is". Someday, when I'm feeling ready or when I'm more healed up, we can talk more about it. I feel like I shouldn't even be talking about my own experience-like I shouldn't even say anything. "I've never really spoken about it because I thought everyone had it, but when I got home from tour it was the most severe I think it's ever been".

"I just hope she doesn't overwork herself and drain herself anymore mentally/physically", one person wrote on Twitter. "I love science and seeing the physical reality of what's going on in there was incredible to me".
