Favreau also says the show will not only satisfy longtime fans but introduce a new generation to the galaxy far, far away.

The Mandalorian will be available with Disney+'s launch on November 12, 2019.

We'll be sure to keep you updated on all news regarding The Mandalorian as soon as more information becomes available.

Disney has been working with Coca Cola for new Star Wars drinks that will be appearing at Star Wars Galaxy's Edge at both Disney World and Disneyland! The Mandalorian will be the first of the live-action series to hit Disney's new streaming service and the second will feature the return of a big screen hero. Recently, the franchise has alternated years between advancing the main story (with stars Daisy Ridley as Rey, John Boyega as Finn, Adam Driver as Kylo Ren and a selection of actors from the 1977-1983 franchise films) and doing side stories, such as a prequel on Han Solo's life called "Solo: A Star Wars Story".

Pascal will be joined in the cast by Giancarlo Esposito of Breaking Bad and Better Call Saul; Apollo Creed from the Rocky films, Carl Weathers; Omid Abtahi of American Gods; Emily Swallow of Supernatural; Nick Nolte as the voice of an alien creature; and Deadpool's Gina Carano.

The Mandalorian will be executive produced by Jon Favreau, Dave Filoni, Kathleen Kennedy and Colin Wilson. We should know the name of the movie by the end of the panel too.

After the stories of Jango and Boba Fett, another warrior emerges in the Star Wars universe. We follow the travails of a lone gunfighter in the outer reaches of the galaxy far from the authority of the New Republic.

The series is set between "A New Hope" and "The Force Awakens", sometime after the fall of the Empire and before the rise of the First Order. Karen Gilchrist is also on board as a co-executive producer. Taika Waititi ("Thor: Ragnarok"), Bryce Dallas Howard, Rick Famuyiwa ("Dope"), and Deborah Chow ("Jessica Jones") also directed several episodes.
