Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order Pre-Order Details

The Rise Of Skywalker

The release date is now set for November 15 on PS4, Xbox One and PC.

It's Saturday at Star Wars Celebration in Chicago and the biggest news in the galaxy continues to drop in the Wintrust Arena at McCormick Place. He is voiced by Star Wars veteran Ben Burtt.

In the trailer, shown during the Star Wars Celebration event, viewers are introduced to Cal, a Padawan whose Force use, along with that of other Jedi, is nearly entirely curtailed following the events of Order 66 in Star Wars: Episode III - Revenge of the Sith. There a new Troopers called Purge Troopers and they were actually hidden away on a cover of a recent Star Wars comic before being revealed for the new game.

When Abrams signed on to direct Star Wars 9, the film had an existing script by Colin Trevorrow and Derek Connolly, which Trevorrow meant to direct before departing the film over creative differences. The character appeared to die in 1983's Return of the Jedi.

We're also going to be seeing more of antagonist the Second Sister, who'll be aided in her pursuit by additional Imperial Inquisitors, force-sensitive agents of the Empire tasked with tracking down errant Jedi.

Before the event, EA revealed the game would be singleplayer only, will not contain any microtransactions and would have no loot boxes.

We get to see the new hero Cal Kestis during the performance capture sessions, played by Shameless star Cameron Monaghan.

What will Fallen Order play like? At today's Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order panel on the Celebration Stage, we learned a ton of new information about the upcoming video game, which its creators referred to as a "Jedi fantasy story game". During the days leading up to the reveal, they confirmed that the game is a single-player, third-person, melee-action game with no multiplayer. It's worth noting that the game is directed by Stig Asmussen, who is known for working on the God of War series before joining Respawn.

Set to be the culmination of the entire Skywalker saga, the movie is attempting to put a neat little bow on over four decades worth of movies, from the original Star Wars film back in 1977, to The Last Jedi in 2017.
