Across 8 starts, Kanter averaged 18.1 points and 11.4 rebounds per game.

McCollum scored 16 points and Lillard added 12 as the Blazers carried a 54-48 lead into intermission. However he was just 1 of 6 from the floor in the opening quarter. The Thunder used an 8-0 run to draw within 47-36, then closed the gap to six points going into halftime. He shoots 39 percent from 3-point range and is the team's No. 3 rebounder. For the game, he made four of 15 3-point attempts.

George was nursing a sore right shoulder and was considered day-to-day for Sunday's game but he started. Portland outscored OKC 22-21 in the quarter to take a 76-69 lead into the fourth.

Portland led by as many as 19 points in the first half, but the Thunder pulled within 80-77 early in the fourth quarter.

On Sunday however Portland's three-year wait for a postseason win came to an end, as Damian Lillard inspired a battling victory over the sixth-seeded Thunder. The only member of the Thunder to hit multiple threes was Paul George, who went 4-of-15 from distance in the loss.

The Blazers have endured a miserable record in the playoffs in recent years, suffering back-to-back first round sweeps in 2017 and 2018 against Golden State and New Orleans.

After the game, Lillard called Kanter "the MVP of the Game". Lillard went on to lead the team with 30 points, CJ McCollum added 24 points on nine of 24 shooting while Enes Kanter was a pest on the offensive glass as he racked up 20 points with 18 rebounds and two blocks.

Antetokounmpo had 24 points and 17 rebounds in just 24 minutes, as the Milwaukee began their hunt for a playoff championship ring with a 121-86 blowout of the Pistons in game one. Thunder star Steven Adams only posted 17 points and 9 rebounds.

Irving was among five players to make double figures as Boston drew first blood in the best-of-seven series opener at the TD Garden.

The Portland Trail Blazers host the Oklahoma City Thunder Tuesday night at the Moda Center in Game 2 of the first round of the Western Conference playoffs.
