Trump Questions Why 'Radical Left Democrats' Should See Mueller Report

Activists participate in a Release the Report rally in Times Square on April 4 in New York City

Hasen said the full report might open up some big questions about the attorney general and his actions after receiving Mueller's findings. "What he said is, 'Look, it's going to take a while to process the report".

Lat month, the Attorney General released a four-page summary of Special Counsel Robert Mueller's findings during his investigation into the Trump campaign's alleged collusion with Russian Federation.

"Does Mueller use any language suggesting that a reasonable prosecutor acting in her discretion could have charged President Trump with obstruction but for DOJ policy against indicting a sitting President?" he said.

Mueller's 400-page report most likely lays out the factual findings and legal analysis of the investigation, which resulted in numerous convictions.

Barr said in congressional testimony Wednesday that he the believes the DOJ "spied" on the Trump campaign and he plans to open a DOJ investigation into the origins of the Russian Federation probe.

The president's latest comments come days after he called the probe an attempted "coup", while Barr promised to investigate FBI "spying" on Trump.

"We also need to see the report", said Nadler, "because it may be that Mueller decided not to prosecute for various reasons ... but there still may have been proof of some very bad deeds and very bad motives, and we need to see that, and the public needs to see that".

On Twitter, Trump said Saturday, "Why should Radical Left Democrats in Congress have a right to retry and examine the $35,000,000 (two years in the making) No Collusion Mueller Report, when the crime committed was by Crooked Hillary, the DNC and Dirty Cops?"

In order to distract from unanswered questions about Mueller's report, Trump reportedly revived a proposal which was previously been rejected by his own administration to release immigrant detainees in so-called sanctuary cities, sources close to the president told the Times.
