Sophie Turner Emotionally Credits Joe Jonas for Helping Her Deal With Depression

Sophie Turner turns toughest Game Of Thrones scene into triumph

After Nick Jonas tied the knot with our Desi girl, Priyanka Chopra, it's now Joe Jonas' turn to take the wedding vows with Game Of Thrones' sensation Sophie Turner, aka Sansa Stark.

The 23-year-old actress, who played Sansa Stark opposite her on-screen sister Maisie, who played Arya Stark, spoke candidly about their time on the show and how they would never socialise outside one another - leading to the toxic scenario. "And when someone tells you they love you every day, it makes you really think about why that is, and I think that makes you love yourself a bit more".

Turner revealed that she first noticed herself falling into a depression around the time when she was still living at home, when not working on the show, while all her friends and brothers were going off to university. Turner told Dr. Phil that she believes puberty "was a bit of a catalyst" for her depression, as was social media. "My metabolism was like slowing down massively, and I was gaining weight".

Turner explained that her depression got to be nearly debilitating and often caused her to isolate herself from her friends and made her wary to leave the house.

Turner actually chose to adopt the dog who played Sansa Stark's direwolf during the first season of Game of Thrones!

She explains, "I had no motivation to do anything or go out". I say I wasn't very depressed when I was younger, but I used to think about suicide a lot when I was younger. "Learning to love yourself is the biggest challenge, I think".

"I'm fascinated by crime and why people do things and the interrogation process, and how you can manipulate your words in order to get someone to confess, that interests me". I would say, "Yeah, I am spotty".

"I want to do a lot of things, and not just in the film world", she explained. I am fat. I am a bad actress.' I would just believe it.

The actress says falling for future husband Joe Jonas helped change her outlook. Dr. Phil noted that her story, along with others, will make it easier for anyone who needs help to seek it without feeling even more alienated. "I mean, it's kind of a dream where, as close as we are as brothers, that our wives and fiance are so connected as well", Nick said.

"I was so in love with [working on "Game of Thrones"] ..."
