Daniel Craig reportedly hurt on Bond set

Daniel Craig suffers injury on the Bond 25 set

The hard road to production on the latest James Bond film has hit another hurdle after shooting was reportedly suspended following an injury to star Daniel Craig. A source who spoke with the gossip tabloid, The Sun, said that "he was sprinting during filming when he slipped and fell quite awkwardly".

The insider said: "He was in quite a lot of pain and was complaining about his ankle".

London - The title and cast of Daniel Craig's expected swansong as 007 will be announced on Thursday from an "iconic 007 location", according to the official James Bond Twitter account.

Filming of the movie kicked off in Jamaica last month. He was also pretty angry that it had happened.

It is now unknown how long the production might be delayed, the newspaper reported that the shooting at London's legendary Pinewood Studios, which had been scheduled to begin at the end of the week, has been cancelled. "He threw his suit jacket on the ground in sheer frustration".

And so the Bond Bad News Machine keeps on spitting out obstacles. The movies, however, don't go into his dark side as much, probably due to the fact the story wouldn't be as successful as a film. We'll see if, after this latest setback, the still-untitled Bond 25 will make its April 8, 2020 release date.

Cary Joji Fukunaga is directing from a script by Neal Purvis, Robert Wade, Scott Z. Burns and Phoebe Waller-Bridge.

Unfortunately his retirement is interrupted by the arrival in Jamaica of his Central Intelligence Agency friend, Felix Leiter, who persuades him to help rescue a kidnapped scientist.

Rami Malek was among the new additions to the cast, taking on the role of a villain.

Besides Craig and Wright, other familiar faces to look out for are: Ralph Fiennes (M), Léa Seydoux (Madeleine Swann), Naomie Harris (Eve Moneypenny), Rory Kinnear (Bill Tanner), and Ben Whishaw (Q).
