Elderly man gets pushed off bus and later dies from injuries

Elderly man dies after woman pushed him off Las Vegas bus

The incident happened March 21 near Fremont and 13th Street.

Police arrested 25-year-old Cadesha Bishop faces a charge of open murder on an elderly-vulnerable person.

In the video, a suspect is seen pushing Fournier with both hands down the front steps of the bus.

Bishop was transported to the Clark County Detention Center where she will be charged for murder.

Video from the bus surveillance cameras shows Fournier hit the ground and lie motionless on the sidewalk.

Fournier was left hospitalised and later died from his injuries on April 23.

His family notified the Las Vegas police on May 3 and Bishop was arrested May 6.

Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department released footage of the altercation on Tuesday in an appeal for more witnesses to come forward.

A judge held her on $100,000 bail pending a preliminary hearing on May 21.

Witnesses told police that Bishop, who was with her young son, had been swearing at people on the bus when Fournier told her to "be nicer to passengers".

It's alleged she was argumentative with people on the bus and as the man stepped off she and him were involved in a dispute.

Mr Fournier's neighbour Trevor Taylor described him as "a wonderful person" and promised he would never forget his friend.

Fournier leaves behind a wife, who is disabled.

"No matter what his age, she should not have done that".

According to Las Vegas Review-Journal, Serge then asked her to be nicer which sparked an altercation.
