Star Trek: Picard key art revealed

Star Trek Picard

A contemporary Star Trek poster: Picard supplies his iconic place again to Patrick Stewart and in addition his accompanying canine.

Jean-Luc Picard is not the first Starfleet captain to own a dog, and let's remember, he's apparently not with Starfleet anymore.

That's Jean-Luc Picard hanging out with A Very Good Boy at a winery, continuing the theme of the Comic-Con trailer, with a whole bunch of space stuff in the background. Instead of just enjoying new movies or reruns of old favorite TV episodes, the universe is expanding to include multiple series of Star Trek. That's the sound of San Diego Comic-Con appearing on the horizon, bringing with it all kinds of nerdy news and teases from beloved franchises we'll be expecting major updates from in Hall H and beyond.

"Star Trek: Generations" (1994) stars Patrick Stewart and William Shatner as Captains Picard and Kirk, respectively.

If that's still the case, the show could explore Picard's decision to leave Starfleet - which Gizmodo notes might have followed a failed attempt to save survivors from Romulus. If they kill the dog, this will be the worst Star Trek. Particularly, a statement Kurtzman made to the Los Angeles Times seems to indicate a tragedy has befallen Picard since audiences last saw him.

Above you can check out a motion poster for Star Trek: Picard, but if you want something more substantial and solid, dig the full poster below. The first teaser for Star Trek: Picard made its premiere back in May, and it set the tone for what's to come with its series.
