Former ‘East Los High’ Star Ray Diaz Arrested On Sexual Assault Charges

Los Angeles

Espichan, who lives in White Plains, NY, is charged with 4th degree Sexual Assault, 2 counts of Reckless Endangerment, 2 counts of Unlawful Restraint 1st and Disorderly Conduct.

"The LAPD is aware of several social media posts related to a social media personality, alleging physical abuse and sexual relations with a minor", the department posted on Twitter.

LAPD tweeted confirming Raymundo Diaz had been arrested and was on a $500,000.00 bail. "We take these allegations seriously".

The 33-year-old was arrested at about 5 a.m. on Friday in San Diego, with the assistance of the San Diego Police Department, according to the Los Angeles Police Department.

Diaz has 3 million followers on Instagram even though he has turned his account private ever since the video surfaced.

"Proud of our elite RHD who pursued this relentlessly", Chief Michel Moore tweeted Friday night.

"I hope and pray something does", she said.

According to police, a 17-year-old girl was interviewed revealing she had been dating Diaz for more than a year; clips posted on her social media account allegedly showed video evidence of Diaz being abusive towards her.

The allegations began on 11th July after a 24-minute video was uploaded by Daniel "Keemstar" Keem about Diaz's girlfriend Angelicsalek, after she posed an audio recording of her apparently being physically assaulted by Diaz on her Instagram.

Moore also thanked the public for their "outpouring of concern regarding the case".

Diaz denied the allegations of abuse last week on The Hollywood Fix and said he and the girl in the video were acting. They also learned that Espichan sexually assaulted one of the juveniles while she was detained.

Neither Diaz nor the girl could be reached for comment.

Diaz has appeared on shows such as TV Land's "Lopez" and Hulu's "East Los High". While still advertised in his Instagram bio, his page appears to be inactive.
