McDowell pulled into a gas station but refused to show officers his driving license, instead pleading "I need to see your supervisor" before exiting his vehicle and walking into the nearby convenience store against officers orders.

A police account got by TMZ acknowledged that officers were issued a warrant to establish a blood sample from McDowell even if the effects of that test were now not integrated. During the melee that followed, many food shelves are knocked over and merchandise spills on the floor. The officer repeatedly demanded the 6'6 defensive tackle to get on his stomach, while threatening to use his taser if McDowell did not obey.

McDowell then appears to rip the electrodes out, and then goes after the officer.

Next, a female officer comes to help.

One officer claimed Malik McDowell reached for their gun before he was subdued.

According to TMZ Sports, "Cops say McDowell "had a strong odor of intoxicants emanating from his persons" - but they did not specify if they smelled alcohol or drugs".

The incident occurred after a traffic stop and ended with a confrontation involving a taser and McDowell being arrested and charged with simple assault of a peace officer, operating under the influence, obstructing justice and driving with a suspended license, CNN reports. He could face up to five years in prison and a $10,000 fine in that incident, according to the Detroit News.

And as far as McDowell being intoxicated in the case, TMZ Sports has obtained his blood results ... and they show the National Football League player had a BAC of.189 - over TWO TIMES the legal limit.

He was also drafted by the NFL's Seattle Seawhawks in 2017.

McDowell was Seattle's highest draft pick in 2017 but never played a snap on the field after getting into an ATV accident prior to training camp.

The Seahawks waived McDowell on March 2, this year after Seahawks medical staff had concerns about his health.

The free agent and aged Michigan Teach defensive tackle used to be pulled over after authorities reportedly witnessed his jeep spinning out while speeding.

McDowell was arraigned in May and will face trial this month. In May of 2019, the Seattle Seahawks filed a lawsuit in U.S. District Court in MI seeking repayment of a almost $800,000 of the signing bonus given to former draft pick, claiming he violated his National Football League contract.
