Willie Nelson Comes Off Tour, Cites 'Breathing Problem'

Willie Nelson Cancels Remainder of Tour Dates Cites “Breathing Problem”

Willie Nelson, 86, has canceled part of his ongoing tour, but he is expected to return in time for back-to-back concerts in Upstate NY.

Nelson was scheduled for 30 more shows, including a stop in Grand Rapids, Michigan, on Friday and a grand finale at Thackerville, Oklahoma in November.

Editor's note: This story originally indicated that Nelson would cancel his Ruoff show in central Indiana.

Nelson canceled his appearance at the Outlaw Music Festival due to illness last summer.

Farm Aid says Nelson will resume his tour September 6.

Willie Nelson has canceled his August tour dates because of a health issue, but he'll still be coming to IN this September.

In August 2017, the singer-songwriter was also forced to cut short a show in Salt Lake City due to breathing difficulties.

He ended his message with a promise to be back and some love for his fans. "The altitude got to me", he later explained, adding: "I am feeling better now & headed for lower ground".
